Lee APP question

I posted this in another thread, then deleted it as to not "hijack" that one.

I mounted the APP today, and set it up with the universal case feeder for decapping.
After some adjustment, the cases fed without fail.
The RCBS universal decap die will occasionally bring a primer back up to the case, causing the case to stay in the shellholder.
My Dillon size dies have a decap pin that "snaps" back to avoid this issue, but I don't want to size on the APP, just decap.
Is there a different decap die that you guys/gals are using that would avoid this issue...?

The APP is FAST, but if I'm not fully paying attention, I can really mangle a case...

I had to sharpen the decapping pin in my RCBS die to a blunted point. The small curved depression in the anvil of the spent primer was pressing tight to the rounded end by spring force. A few different times of sanding perfected the profile to smaller than that curve.
No further purchase necessary.

Use Squirrel daddy pins in my universal de-caper.

But the Squirreldaddy pins are hardened and look very nice to use. Almost wish I would break one so I could try them out…

Chucked it in a drill, hit it on a file and sandpaper, and polished with 600 grit...
Shaped it kinda like a trunicated cone flat point.....
WORKS LIKE A DREAM......!!!!

For under $13.00 you can buy a Lee Universal Decapping Die. I use one and it works well for me on several different cartridges including the 38/357, 9mm and the 45 ACP. It also works well with the .223/5.56mm.

I've never had an issue with the Lee Universal Decapping Die.
