Got one today and after a clean, deburr and lube session then the priming of 100 30-06 HXP-72 cases. I like it!

Took a while to get used to the way primers feed into the first stage and then into the load section and having to twist the wrist once in a while to keep the feed track full. The ability to place a sleeve of Fed primers directly onto the tray is great. Slide the holder out of the wraper, turn the Auto prime over on top of the tray. Turn them both right side up and lift off the tray. They did away with the rings to flip the primers and replaced them with little pointy thingys that flip the primers faster and quicker.

The new lever is easier on the thumb and seems more sensative.

All in all a good product re-design in my book. :neener:

Lucky you. I got mine and the handle broke on the third case I tried to reprime lacerating my thumb in the process.

Just kidding! I know a statement like that is coming though.... The new AutoPrime looks good and I'll be buying one if my original AutoPrime ever breaks. I might buy one just for the primer box sized tray, but probably not.

You can use the old handle if you grind about 1/16" off the end of it. The new connecting rod that pushes the primer pin is wider on the pin end but the old one worked when I tried it. So I guess all you'd really need would be a tray assembly and a cover.

I just bought the new levers and connecting links and used the large tray on my old frames. I now have 1 XR for each type primer, LP, SP, LR, SR. I did buy 2 EX's though.

Just ordered mine with the new lever and connecting links. Thanks for the tip! :D:D:D
