I'm in the market for a lee classic turret and the store has a lee turret but the that's all the box says is lee 4 hole turret I think. has the circle lee logo on the box but no one is sure if its the classic or the cheapo one.

how would I be able to tell which one it is?

I'm pretty sure if I got it and it was wrong they wouldn't let me return it. the ones they have set up on display only shows the classic turret not the cheaper one.

The main difference is the base, the 'classic' is a cast iron base, the "cheapo" is aluminum. The arm assy is heavier on the classic also. I have the "cheapo", it's worked fine for several thousand rounds. If the store doesn't have exactly what you want, order online.

thanks guys but I would rather get it from the store. support my local stores and save on shipping.

was just wondering how to tell whats in the box seeing how the box just says lee turret press.

I got my LCT kit from Midway for $165 back at Christmas. I'm using everything that came with the kit. Money well spent!

I have compared numerous rifle brass chamfer and deburring tools and the Lee while inexpensive is not worth any money. You might muddle through the operation but the first time you use another make you will toss the Lee as far as you can.

That does the topic have to do with chamfering and deburring tools?

I bought the LCT only for $99 last December. Thomas15 is just trying comment that you are better off purchasing the other tools separately and not purchase the kit.

I agree. Buy the Lee Classic Turret only and not the kit.

I like Lee equipment, I have a lot of it.

I went and found my box. I have the Classic Turret, cast iron base. It says "rigid cast iron frame" right on the box on two sides.
