i just bought a lee pro 1000 on ebay waiting for it to get here and need to know whatelse i will need to load .223 iam use to my single stage rock chucker
I order all my dies from Midway, you just can't beat their prices and delivery is almost immediate. I would recommend not using Lee dies for any bottleneck cases. I use a lot of Lee carbide for straightwall cases, but for all my rifles I only use Hornady or RCBS.
If you are loading .223 for semi-auto rifle, get the die set which has the full-length sizing die.
If you are loading for bolt action rifle and want to do neck sizing only and/or want both full-length and neck sizing dies, then get the deluxe die set.
Personally, I recommend the deluxe die set to have both sizing options for not that much money.
you definitely want to full length size in an autoloader. bolt actions are fine with just necksizing until the case swells to where you can't close the bolt. i use the lee dies, the ones that come with the full length sizer and collet die. I have bought them from amazon.com also.........

Two things I'd like to comment on here. The first is Midway. While they are a decent outfit, their prices are often high and can easily be beat. Natchezss.com almost always beats their prices and usually by several dollars. Shipping usually is similar. Grafs.com is another place to check. They only charge $5 flat rate shipping, so sometimes with shipping factored in they are the cheapest.
The next thing to comment on is I have used, and still do use Lee dies. I have no major complaints. Infact, I've got a set of RCBS dies too and I prefer the Lee dies, and they were a fraction of the price. That being said, both are good, I just like being able to adjust the seating depth on the Lee dies without having to loosen a lock nut first. That being said, the only complaint I have about the Lee dies is the lock rings. I'd just order a set of Hornady or Lyman or similar lock rings to change them out with, and then they work great. I change them out for Hornady lock rings and I have no issues.
