I need to purchase a magazine for this rifle and was wondering if I needed to purchase one that was made by Santa Fe or will other magazines work for this rifle. Any input would be appreciated.

I've switched out magazines between my No. 1 MKIII Enfield and my No.1 MKIII Ishipore "Santa Fe" Carbine just to see if it would fit. It did, but I haven't shot it that way.

The magazines on the Lee Enfield No1 MkIII rifle and the No.4Mk1 rifle are slightly different. Whel a No1 magazine can be modified to fir a No4 rifle, they rearely feed well afterwards. They are not as easy to find as they once were, but they show up on Ebay regularly. Expect to pay $50+ for one in good shape. Brownells sells a modeern replacement magazine that fits and feeds properly. It just doesn't look exactly the same up close, and may require some fitting. http://www.brownells.com/magazines/...-mki-10rd-303-british-magazine-prod43811.aspx

"...any .303 magazine should work..." Nope. The mag for a No. 1 is not the same as that for a No. 4 or No. 5 rifle. The No.1's mag has 2 locking lugs on the back. Only one on a No. 4 mags. A No. 5 uses a No. 4 mag.
Grind off the bottom lug and the No. 1 mag should fit a No. 4 though.
So what it boils down to is what rifle was bubba'd. Santa Fe apparently used both No. 1's and No. 4's.
This site has pictures of both. https://webpages.uidaho.edu/stratton/SantaFeRifles.htm
