Lee Six Pack Pro Parts?

Would someone please provide a list of the latest upgrade parts for the Lee Six Pack Pro press?
As they ship from the factory they always have the latest and greatest parts installed.
I think OP could have earlier production press before the updates and may wanted to check whether the press had the latest and greatest parts. ;)

That's the way I read it also.

I was an early adopter and waited until recently to call about the upgraded parts. Also gave me a chance to order the Soft Twist Index Rod at the same time

Some background information. I bought the Pro 6000 in July of this year. The original owner said he bought it in June, of this year. The press is the 9mm flavor with 3 Lee dies. I immediately order the 9mm Lee Factory Crimp die, .45 ACP dies and .45 ACP shellplate. Also a shellplate for .38 Special/.357 mag. I already had dies for .38 Special/.357.

When the 9mm Factory Crimp Die arrived I started to re-load some 9mm. I had nothing but trouble. The case slide would actually grab onto the case slider rail. I cleaned the rail with alcohol and rubbed some powdered graphite on it. Better. Primers jammed up. I found three under the shellplate. They may have already been there from the previous owner? The Auto Powder Drum consistently throws very accurate 4.6 powder drops for 9mm. When I switched to .38 Special, I used the 2nd drum and adjusted to throw 4.0 grains. Very accurate, but leaked horribly. Tightened the drum until it wouldn't work, lossen it a tad, still leaked. I went back to 9mm and the case slider would not consistently get the case 100% into the shell plate. The bottom right corner of the slider was hitting on the end of the retainer ring. I cut a tad off the case slider to help get the case into the shellplate. Then an index problem! I emailed Lee about this and they sent a new clutch. Index problem fixed. Case slider problem re-occurred. The spring would actually bend when moving the case. I flipped the spring, not end to end, and it did better.

When everything works, this press is a joy to use. I asked about the latest parts, hoping that new parts would eliminate the problems I posted about. Buying it used, I thought it possible some older parts were in it? AFter looking at @LiveLife posts several times and looking at as many pictures I can find, I believe a new case feeder and spring, will go a long way to fix things. I ordered 4 new drums for the Auto Powder Drum. They arrived in today's mail. Hopefully at least one of them won't leak horribly. I have a bunch of .38 Special that's been de-primed, cleaned and ready to go. For .38 Special, I'm using Winchester cases, 4 grains of HP-38 powder and Federal primers. 158 grain Berry Plated RN.

Thanks for listening to my problems and offering answer.

I've been loading using Clays in the Autodrum and haven't had any leakage at all...using two separate drums.

Have you cleaned up any flashing on the drums and/or polished the interior of the housing?

I really don't think it's the powder, but you can try a different powder to eliminate that possibility

The first new drum I tried has greatly improved leakage with HP-38.
I found if the auto drum leaks it is because the drum was set too loose and the powder gets between the drum and body. At this point no amount of tightening will stop the leak. The fix is to remove the drum and clean all mating surfaces. Reinstall the drum and tighten securely, your leakage should stop. Probably the reason when you installed the "new" drum the leakage improved. Also when the measure is brand new it takes many cycles to seat and wear in the rubber wiper. I am pretty sure Lee didn't mold a perfect conic surface on the wiper. You can picture the plastic drum clamped against the rubber wiper the actual plastic drum can't even reach the metal housing yet is feels tight.
On the cheapo powder measure they say something about conditioning the powder measure with a pound of powder perhaps this breaks in the wiper?

I have always "lubricated" the elastomer wiper on Pro Auto Disk with graphite powders or finely shaved No. 2 pencil lead ground on paper until black which allowed the disks to glide smoothly without binding and provided more consistent drops. For this reason, over the years, I have recommended running coated powders like W231/HP-38 to better "condition" the wiper surface.

With the elastomer wiper on Auto Drum/Deluxe PPM, I experienced the same as I ran through a pound of W231/HP-38, I saw the wiper surface blacken and cycle more smoothly.

[Lee Precision] say something about conditioning the powder measure with a pound of powder perhaps this breaks in the wiper?
Yes, that's what Calvin (My "beta test" contact at Lee Precision) said about breaking in the wiper to "condition" the measure for more consistent drops

Good morning,
... results get better as the drum continues to be conditioned and break in. We often see the best results after a pound has been ran through any powder measure ...

Here's new clean wiper out of the box.

Wiper surface after running one hopper full of W231/HP-38 (Black powder smear around plunger hole was wiped off cone surface on the right but wiper surface was not wiped clean and left to "condition")

index.php

Wiper surface after several hopper full of W231/HP-38. Wiper is not fully "conditioned" as cone surface around plunger hole shows black powder smear which indicates further "conditioning" of wiper is needed.

index.php

Running additional powders (Titegroup, No. 2 and H335) conditioning the wiper further and black powder smear on cone surface around plunger hole getting less and less.

index.php

Wiper continuing to "condition" as less and less black powder smear shows on cone surface around plunger hole

index.php

And here we are, after about a pound of powder (W231/HP-38, Titegroup, No. 2 and H335) ran through the measure, wiper was conditioned enough to not show any black powder smear on cone surface around plunger hole.

I have an extra Auto Drum that came with 2023 Breech Lock head Pro 1000 so I am planning to lubricate the wiper to expedite the "conditioning" ... Stay tuned for a new thread.

Did you ever try the brass drum in the Auto drum powder measure? That micro meter drum would sure be nice.

I have not but that sounds like an interesting thing to try.

I am in the process of finishing two 18" .223 Wylde heavy barrel SPRish builds (Got trigger down to around smooth and clean 5 lbs and previous builds have been MOA) along with 20" fluted .223 Wylde build with goal of 4.5 lb trigger for RMR 69/75 gr load development. I am "Paying It Forward" NIB post 2018 revision Pro 1000 kit for an elderly hunter with full reloading setup for 9mm/45ACP/45Colt/.223 to include ZIP Trim and Auto Prime with reloading components (Bullets, brass, powder and primers) so I will be busy today packing up and tomorrow walking the PIF recipient through the progressive reloading process (He has loaded single stage all his life).

And since I already started taking pictures for new out of the box Auto Drum break-in with lubricated wiper, I will add testing the brass cone in Auto Drum body in a new thread.
