New Lee $339 Pro 6000 kit and $244 Six Pack Pro press finally "In Stock"

I just ordered the basic press at Grafs.....it's for real, but they were out of the 9mm caliber I wanted. No biggy...besides, I already have 2 extra Uniflows and the Lee universal 4-way, so I'll be reporting how the Uniflow progressive linkage works with it. Pretty sure it won't know the difference. ;)

My wife is happy! Her Christmas shopping just got easy....I'm done and I have a winter project to keep me out of her hair......now I gotta get busy on her Christmas. :)

EVERY darn one of you VOTE tomorrow if you haven't already......

Have followed the two 6000 press threads and have already decided I do not need to complicate my process more than I am already doing. Current presses in house; RCBS JR3, Lee 3 hole Value Press, Lee New Model 4 hole Value Press, Pro 1000 and Pro 4000.. Everything I load can easily be done on each of these. Even while loading for pistols I only load at most 500 at a time. So I am good with what I have.

That post made me smile!.....and I don't blame you for getting it in writing....maybe I shoulda done that too! :) I just got an email from UPS telling me that the press ordered from Grafs last night, will be arriving on the 11th......kinda early for Christmas.....Lee to Grafs to me is way faster than I thought it would be.

The last time Lee Precision got me to spend money was on the APP. And boy have I, do I ...enjoy that little thing! What a great idea putting a case/bullet feeder on a little single station press. Heck, I like so much, I even built a heavier version of that concept, using my RCBS Summit, 3d printed, and Lee APP parts. Thoroughly enjoying that too. My nature is succumbing to curiosity...especially in winter when I'm stuck more inside and needing something new and interesting to do.

Famous last words, but this will probably be my last press unless its a dog, and I need something else to get rid of the bad taste........but I'll bet it's just fine. Looking forward to it.

That post made me smile!......

My reloading consists of multiple pistol calibers and the 223Rem. and for the past year or so has mostly been for the 223. Even when I am hot'n heavy loading pistol the two presses I use the most are the 3 hole presses; old Value Press and the Pro1000. They are Quick, simple and accurate. Also I am using just the standard Lee 3 die, die sets that can be had anywhere.

Then again in simple honesty if I were loading large long rifle cases or 1k rounds of pistol every month then I am certain I would be using something else. But for what I am doing these suite just fine.

With Christmas approaching and Lee Precision having updated pre/early production parts to address/resolve issues identified (Such as longer primer slider and "self-cleaning" priming pin), looks like people are buying up SPP/Pro 6000 kits and if you are interested in one, better hurry or they may become "unobtainium" by Christmas time.

Most vendors are out of stock in popular calibers but you can order any available caliber kit and buy additional shellplates. Here are some "in stock" caliber kits:

I am buying the Pro 6000 to replace the 1000 is because I like being able to crimp in a separate step and I want to install a RCBS Lockout Die. Supposed to arrive 1/4.

I had a squib the other day that I did not catch in a test batch that I was very careful in reloading. I was using a light load of a new ball powder that I was nervous about, as it took up very little case capacity. I usually use Unique or 700X. I even used a dowel marked at the proper level, and inserted it into each and every cartridge before seating the bullet. I am still scratching my head on how it happened.

It's the first one I've had in 10-15 years, and the very first one ever that I did not immediately "catch" when the gun discharged. Fortunately, the next round would not chamber.

But maybe that's just an excuse. Old joke...

Wife: How many guns do you really need?

Husband: One more than I have now.

For some of the the hard cases on this forum, it appears to apply just as well to reloading presses:)
