Hi,
I have a Lee 4 hole turret press, and was wondering what type of lube everyone uses on their press for rust prevention and lubrication?

I have tried the Lee web site but I am unable to find there recommended lube. I have seen it before I just cant remember what it is.

Have no idea what Lee recommends, but I have been using Hoppe's #9 gun oil on my three hole Lee Turret for 20 years without a problem. However I do keep my press clean and free of grit and dirt. Thereis no noticable wear to the ram or the aluminum base.

Heavy oils such as motor oil or ATF tend to hold dust and dirt. Light greases will do the same.

Thanks for the reply bushmaster, I have managed to find that lee recommends 30 weight motor oil on the ram only. but I'm still not sure what they recommend on the rest of the press and dies. I would prefer to use a lighter oil to help with grime build up as you said. Thank you for the tip I will give it a try.
