Lee Turret press

I have the classic 4 hole. I like it a lot, i load all pistol on it, prime, and decap rifle brass as well.

Only two cons for me

The turret lifts when the ram goes up, this is fine for my pistol duties, however, the rifle stuff is a little less accurate vs the Lyman all American turret i have.

The advancing mechanism gets dirty rather quickly and goes out of time. It does this about every 700ish rounds. It’s easy to clean and goes back to lining up perfectly.

I like mine and it’s not going anywhere, long story short.

I started with the "value" press and it worked fine for my pistol (9mm, 38/357, 45LC) and rifle ammo (223, 6mmARC, 243, 308). I bought Classic Turret Press as an upgrade five years later. I have been loading on the Classic now for ten years and like it a lot. I removed the auto-indexing rod because I like to advance the turret manually. The auto-indexing was fussy. I have no problems with Lee's primer system. For powder charging, I use either the Auto-drum or the Pro Auto-disk. I buy a new Auto-drum or Pro Auto-disc for each turret head/caliber so I don't have to switch them around every time I change calibers. All-in-all, I have been very happy with my Lee equipment. I also have a Hornady single-stage press for when I want high precision.
