I have a Lefaucheux revolver it a 9mm caliber I believe. Does anyone out there have any information on this type of revolver? It was made in the late 1800's.

Thanks

Didn't they just have a show on "Sons of Guns" about the Lefaucheux? Kinda cool......is yours a 20 shot also?

Yes its like the one they showed on "Sons of Guns" but it's not a 20 shot.

I'll check the link out

Thanks

I'm thinking about selling it, all it does is take up room in my safe.

An interesting gun, though. The original pin-fire cartridge dates to 1836, not to the late 19th centuryt. The guns were very popular in Europe and the pin-fire had basically the same place there as rimfire cartridges had here. Quite a few of the guns were used in the Civil War by the Union cavalry and ammunition was made for them on government contract. A few were used by the South; Stonewall Jackson's 7mm is in a Richmond museum.
