So I just dove into the rabbit hole of accessories while waiting for my Crosman 1377 to arrive. Not really wanting to go all out yet, but one of the first parts recommended as an upgrade is to use a steel breech. However, I am one unique little ducky and am in search of an ever illusive LEFT HANDED steel breech. There are a couple aluminum ones I have run across which I might use if a southpaw steel one is not available. I'm sure Aluminum ones are pretty solid but steel is obviously much more solid and forgiving if handled a bit rough.

Hoping someone out there has found one or could recommend some options. I am lefteye/lefthand dominate so I'd like this one to be custom to my use.

Thanks!

The originals were plastic, so even aluminum is a significant upgrade in terms of strength. If you can find what you want in aluminum, I'd say buy it and feel good about it.

Never a strength problem on the plastic one on my 1377. I only went to steel so I could have more mounting options for red dots, aperture sights, etc. I would also think aluminum is plenty strong for that application. Being right handed I have no idea what other southpaw options are available. I would think that an aluminum breech would be entirely serviceable as long as it's a dimensional match of the original to ensure proper fit. Keep us posted on how it goes.

You may find that having the bolt handle on the right is preferable.
For instance the Keystone single shot pistols have the handle on the left and are intended for right handed shooting.

The Crosman steel breech is dovetailed for the LPA-MIM adjustable rear sight and bolt on the right. The Baker Airguns aluminum breech uses the stock type rear sight and is available left or right-handed. The aluminum Baker one is very strong and holds the barrel ridged with two set screws so no problem with a little rough handling. I don't know of any steel ones with a left-hand bolt.

Thanks all! I considered the aluminum breech, but then ran my search again and discovered an ambidextrous breech available on Ebay. Ebay Ambi Breech
Decided to go with this one for now.

I had posted in another place and was directed to a company GMAC. Unfortunately, thier components seem to be out of stock. GMAC LH Breech

I guess I like overbuilding things and this is no exception. Wanted the barrel to be as solid as possible so also found a barrel band! It's aluminum but should be solid enough for my needs. Maverick custom airguns threaded barrel band
