One of my friends recently purchased a Legacy Escort shotgun with an 18.5 in barrel even after my protesting. I thought he would be happier with a Mossberg as it was the same price and there are a lot of parts for them.

Anyway now that he has it he is looking for accessories but cannot find any for this particular shotgun. Anyone have any suggestion as to where we could find a pistol grip or collapsible stock?

I believe the stock is compatible with the Rem870. Don't really care for the Legacy pump shotgun, but we use a Legacy PS auto for demoing the brake/suppressor units and it eats probably 500-1000rds/month year-round. Haven't had any problems with it, very reliable and comfortable to shoot.

The legacy Autos and the pump are made in Turkey. Turkey has switched over to using CNC machines and they are now making some very consistent quality shotguns. Made in Turkey will mean quality in the future as soon as people start to catch on. That was not the case in the past but with the the introduction of CNC that has all changed. I have a made in Turkey H&R Excel Auto 5 and love it. It is everything that was said above about the Legacy Auto.

kingjoey what mag tube extension fits the Legacy Auto shotguns?

If anyone would like a brake/suppressor or Breacher attachment for your shotgun, Kingjoey and affiliate company "King Armory" makes a quality product. They have some of the best Break/Suppressors and Breacher attachments for shotguns I have seen. Members at Shotgun World love them.

They use the same extension as the Rem870. I had to turn about 1/16" off the mag tube to get everything to tighten down completely. The build list for the gun is as follows:

Legacy PS auto shotgun w/28" ribbed barrel
TacStar +3 Rem870 mag extension
Wolff extra power mag spring
Scattergun Technologies no-jam follower
King Armory KA-1212 brake/suppressor

We de-ribbed the barrel and turned it down to 19.5"
We turned the mag tube down apx 1/16"
We bead-blasted and refinished all parts in HK Black Duracoat
We permanently installed the KA-1212 brake/suppressor unit

The gun shoots accurate and FAST! My best time yet on a demo shoot was 8 rounds in 1.15 seconds

You could have used a Scatter Gun sling plate attachment as a spacer to fill the gap between the mag tube ext and the fore grip. That is what I did on my Turkish auto that also will accept the 870 mag tube extensions. It serves two purposes.

Yeah, I thought about that, but I don't use slings much anyways. Wasn't a big deal just to toss the mag tube in the lathe

on Sunday we put about 300 rounds through it and the stock came loose and cracked. He wasn't to pleased about that. The slide also requires a firm grip to keep it in place when firing, I'm not an expert with shotguns, but that doesn't seem right to me.

I don't know why it cracked. Maybe because it was loose when you fired it. It was not your fought though. Call Legacy Sports Int. they will send you one. They have very good customer service.

I'll give em a call tomorrow. Any thoughts on the loose slide? If you don't hold it forward it will come back and eject the shell after firing. It doesn't seem to affect the performance other than scaring the crap out om me when I go cycle it and the chamber is already open.

Sounds like you might have a problem there also. Ask them about that also. You maybe sending the gun in for repair. I have read and heard of a lot of please owners of these pump shotguns. This is first I have heard of these problems. Legacy will fix it up.
