This rifle is appealing to me because it takes AK mags where as a Saiga doesn't. I actually like the ones with the thumbhole stock too. Especially as pictured with a 30 round mag; it has an aesthetically appealing quality to it, I believe. The same holds true for me with a Mini 30, but they are too much money and don't have 30 rounders that are known to work from what I've read. Despite the fact that regulated jursidictions don't allow 30 round mags, I still like the Mac-90 for the easy 30 round potential upgrade if a matter of life and death.
This rifle has no so called "evil features" that I'm aware of, and from everything I've read about the rifle so far in the THR archives; might be the only decent thing that's been made in China quality-wise.
I'm wondering how come no one ever suggests a Norinco Mac-90 when discussing good, legal, semi-autos for California or for other gun regulated areas?
