put mepro night sights on my g26 yesterday.
went to the range after church today to check impact, so i was carring my kimber .45 as ccw. after checking the sight alinement on the 9mm i decided to also shoot the kimber (compcat ss carried in a comp-tac kydex open bottom tuckable holster).
fired about 60 rounds thur the kimber, loaded back up to carry home, snaped the safty on and slid it into the holster. i quickly expearnced a stinging on my hip, only took a second to relize that the muzzle was still much to hot to leave next to skin even with a t-shirt between the gun and me. had to pull gun back out and allow to cool for 2-3 minutes before reholstering. be warned!

 At least you weren't shooting a P7 ;) After 60 quick rounds, you might have been able to burn an HK logo on your hip

Are we headed toward the new High Road "Badge of Courage"?
Instead of show us your tattoo, its show us your (firearm) brand! ouch. Considering where we carry these guns...I'm not sure we'll want to show (or look) ! :D
Mark.

I do a very similar thing almost every day during the summer here in Las Vegas...But it is usually with the metal end of my car seatbelt.:p:what:
