This is a few short already. I have a 38/44 outdoorsman that needs to be added and I will soon be getting a pre-27 8 3/8".

I think there are a couple more around here somewhere. The .44 magnum snub at the bottom has been prettied up considerably since this shot was snapped.

I noticed those grips were extra special right from first glance. You put them on real revolvers too.

He has some nice guns too!!!!!

Hammerdown, those "roper" grips on the top pic. Is there anysuch thing as reproductions of those anywhere? I have a 29-2 that cries, whines and begs to have a set every time you post that picture (ok, maybe it was me whining. . .)?

left to right, 125th aniversary .45 Colt, 1955 .45 acp, and a recent Heritage recreation of the 1917 in .45 acp:

Hello:
I have some real bad new's for you. The talented little guy that made these did such in "1936" as they are marked by him on the rear.He made all of these Roper style grip's from a basic chunk of wood only pencil drawing the design he wanted to make. he also hand checkered them by simple pencil lines. I dare say he has been dead for several year's and the only way I know to get his grip's is to buy them on a gun or watch for them for sale on rare occasion's.Best regards, Hammerdown.

Eagle "COKES" finish....

DHart.....Hammerdown... those Eagle COkes are gorgeous... is that the original finish or did you refinish them? Really nice!
Hello DHart:
I used a urethane finish on them. They came a flat looking oil finish when I got them. Thank's for your compliment... Regards, Hammerdown.

Magnum88C - there is a gentleman on the smith-wessonforum.com who has started making reproductions of Roper grips, I think they look pretty good. I don't know the price or waiting time, and I've even forgotten his screen name. If you go there and do a search for "ropers", you can probably find him.
