Calibre44, is that a Brocock? Where could I buy one? In addition to BP, I'm also an airgun fan and I'd love to have one of those.
Does it use the same type of pump you'd use for a precharged pneumatic air rifle?
If so, not a problem. I have an Axsor pump for my PCPs.
You can PM me, if you'd prefer.
I don't mind the Marlin being here. Great gun. The Marlin1894P is one of my favorites.
Shorter and handier than a Winchester 94 Trapper, and much better stock/forend.

Jeez Louise Junkman, I mentioned my marlin in my first post in this thread which had a photo of only black powder shooters, saying I wasn't sure if it counted as it could be too modern, and then BHP fan said he wanted to see it. Look back a few posts, I believe the original post said 'Western-style guns.' if a moderator wants to remove it or tell me to that's fine by me.

Sweeeeet collection!!! That Key gun really has my imagination going now,

The tiny key gun is just a mockup, notice ther's no nipple on it.The originals were much larger, they were jailers key's.

Caliber44,

I really like your range box under the Dragoon. What are the preloads actually in?

I recently refound some glass or hard glass like plastic stoppered tubes from a medical test kit the wife was using some years back that I just had to save. Been trying to think if there was any reason not to use glass or hard plastic tubes with "rubber" stoppers for holding pre measured loads to pour directly into chambers from. Wondered about static electricity but then there are comercial plastic tubes available. Got an old wine box with good hinges and a latch and was thinkint about making something like that.

Air pistol is wild. Never seen such. I would swear that at one point in the way back some adult showed my dad (as though the kid was not standing right there) a full sized 1873 SAA type that used Greenie stick on caps to propell lead BBs and I have seen such for 4mm zimmer shutzen, but never an airgun with individually compressed cartridges. Neat.

Darn it now you got me thinkng about cap powered wax bullet loads or cork balls in a C&B revovlver.

Hoof Hearted, what's the name of your museum??? I live in Idaho, but if you've got visiting hours I might have to make a trip down there some day LOL. What is the history on the Remie's with the laynard rings, cavalry? Beautiful collection, thanks for posting it!!

Well........I've never thought of it as anything more than a collection! I buy, sell, build, collect and collaborate (I am a Conversion gunsmith and do work for a well known "drop in" cylinder manufacturer). But, finding like minded souls in these parts (rural TX) is tough......if you ever want to have a "get together" let me know!

Here is my Traditions Deerhunter kit .50. I checkered the stock myself. Also the bluing on the barrel is cold blue.

Here's a photo of some handguns I took a while back. Some of them are modern, but my love for revolvers, specifically Ruger Vaqueros is apparent; I also have four more Vaqueros that aren't in the photo. I currently have four .44 Magnums, two 7 1/2" blue and case with stag stocks and two SS Bisleys with 5 1/2" tubes; the latter not in the photo. I also have four .45 Colts, two 5 1/2" SS with Ruger faux ivory stocks and two blue/case 3 1/2" Birdsheads with black micarta stocks; the latter two are not in the photo. You can see my 7 1/2" blue/case Vaqueros in .44 WCF with stag stocks. You can also see my 5 1/2" Ruger Bisley Blackhawk Convertible that has .45 Colt and .45 ACP cylinders and my 5 1/2" barreled Redhawk in .44 Magnum. You can also see my 5" barreled S&W Model 25-5 .45 Colt customized by Ken Genecco, a 6" barreled blue S&W 586 .357 Mag with PPC stocks, a 6" S&W 686 Powerport .357 Mag and my old 4" barreled S&W Model 19-2 .357 Mag that was my PD duty weapon. There are also to 1911s, a '59 Colt Commercial and a Springfield Armory GI .45. The last is a Springfield Armory XD-.40 sub compact. I had this photo handy, but I'll get out my camera and do just single action revolvers, caplock and cartridge.:)

There is also a photo of not-guns that just might come in handy in a Zombie outbreak, where doing a lot of shooting would be ringing the dinner bell. Of the latter, the flanged mace and the Cold Steel basket hilt broadsword would be my choice. :D

The last is a photo of my 4 5/8" 1973 Ruger Blackhawk .357 Magnum and it's 9mm cylinder in the little red pouch. That pistol has ivory stocks, so I included my similarly fitted coffin handled Bowie and patch knife made by the late great Roger Faust; a scholar, gentleman and knife craftsman from Modesto, Ca. The steel stock for the blades came from a leaf spring from a 1952 Studebaker truck. Agent Orange took him long after the war. He was one of the finest and reliable men I have had the privileged to know. RIP Roger. I'll see you soon amigo, but not too soon.:)
