This has been around for at least 20 years. An Ithaca Deerslayer with a 20" rifled bbl and a 3X9 Simmons ( This scope needs to be replaced).
I use Rem copper solids and shot this 2 shot group at 100 yds a few hours ago.
This SG groups tighter than my .06 pumpgun. Ha.

I got a good deal on a 1187 slug gun today. It should kick less than my Mossy 500.

Mossberg 835 shotgun, with Black Diamond scope. i have 2 interchangeable barrels for it... shoots 3.5 inch magnum, in 12 gauge... The picture below is of the same gun. I can swap barrels, and use the scoped, rifled barrel for deer, & shotgun barrel for turkeys.

I have slayed both turkeys & deer with it... the 3.5 inch mag shells are super.

My son gave me the Remington thumbhole stock for Christmas last year so I kinda had to install it. I have not shot it enough since installing the stock to make a judgement on it.
