I posted this over on the "Accessories" forum but only got one response, so I thought I'd try it here. :) A year or two ago, Leupold forced all retailers to use MAP pricing on it's scopes (i.e.- similar, I understand, to MSRP pricing). If you check out the 5 or 6 largest Internet scope dealers, you will see that their prices on Leupold scopes are all exactly the same. In answer to a previous question I asked, I was advised to "call for the REAL price". I did. And all of them gave me the same price that was on their site! So, is Leupold so darn popular that no one discounts them anymore? Or am I just asking incorrectly? Thanks!

The only data I have is a couple years old . . .I buy most of my scopes off of ebay now. The last new leupold I got was from dnrsports.com. They didn't list any price, they just had a note saying "call for price". When I called I think it was about $300 when everyone else wanted $360 or so. My numbers might be a little off, as I said it was a while back.

Not sure if they still have the system at DNR, but you might want to give them a try.

More like shootin themselves in the foot-----there are better choices(Zeiss Conquest) out there for the same or less money. Zeiss Conquest

Did I mention Zeiss Conquest???

Get the point??

Even at the lower price point----the Burris Fullfield blows the VX-1's and 2's away.
