Leupold VX-Freedom Rifle Scope 1.5-4x 20mm Matte

I ordered this and it does not come with scope lenses covers, I mean a $80 simmons cheapie does but this thing does not come on lol. What do you all recommend to use to protect this lenses ?

I was actually talking to a nice guy at Leupold a couple weeks ago, and I was bemoaning the loss of the covers, and he said most of their feedback was that people didn't like them. Personally I like them, but my issues with the vx freedom go beyond just the lack of lenscovers and focus on mediocre optics and terrible turret feel. That said, I have 3, and really like the form factor of the 1-4x20s.

I think the Leupold guy said they sell the covers for $5.

I was considering buying that very scope tonight and that's what several reviewers said of the turrets, like that they felt really cheap. I'm actually looking for the best sub $300 1-4 power optic. Primary arms all seem to be on a pre order basis...

I have a primary arms 1-6x with the kiss reticle. I like it a lot, and it is way better than the vx freedom, but it is significantly larger and heavier. It is basically the same size, shape and quality as the vortex strike eagle, but with a way better reticle than the garbage one that comes with the vortex.
The only good things I can say about the 1-4x freedom is that it is small and light, which is just the ticket for a marlin.

I have the an older VX-3 1.5-5x20mm that I got at a swap meet. I also picked up the cover for it that looks like this, but I wouldn'thave paid $26 for it.
