So I just got an email and I see midwayusa has some Leupold scopes on sale.
I was looking at a couple different simple 1-4x power scopes and I really can't see the differences between them that makes the price difference of $80.
The two i'm looking at are
http://www.midwayusa.com/Product/840003/leupold-vx-i-shotgun-scope-1-4x-20mm-heavy-duplex-reticle-matte
and
http://www.midwayusa.com/Product/118092/leupold-vx-ii-rifle-scope-1-4x-20mm-duplex-reticle-matte
Now I realize one of them has a heavy duplex reticle and the other is a standard duplex reticle. One of them also says its a shotgun scope the other says a rifle scope. The physical dimensions are pretty much the same and so is the eye relief. Reviews on both of them mention people using either of them on rifles and shotguns with good results.
So whats the big difference I'm missing.
I suppose either of them would be good for playing around with on AK or .308 saiga or maybe even shotgun but is their any reason I should buy the more expensive rifle scope version??
