Lever-action as primary rifle? (Probly gonna get one...)

I'm quite fond of my .357 Marlin 1894CS as a Home Defense gun, and I've been casting covetous glances at Marlin's new 336Y Spikehorn - 16"-bbl. .30-30, marketed as a "youth rifle," but seems like a dandy car-gun candidate as well. It would truly be the dog's testicles(that's GOOD) if I sent it to David R. Clay or Wild West Guns and had it made into a takedown.

Lever rifle ? Yeah why not , for all the reasons stated and it's sort of politically unobtrusive . Of couse to me a #4 enfield MK2 sounds good too !
