So I'm watching TV tonight with my wife, when the news comes on at 11pm. The first story is introduced as 'a man takes drastic action' or something to that effect, so I get pretty interested to hear about it and stay tuned. Turns out that a man shot his neighbor's dog with a .308 (after he tried to get the dog to stop with his bare hands) when it was attacking a woman and the dog she was walking.
When they were done explaining what happened, they started talking about the owner who didn't have their dog licensed or what not and at this point I'm losing interest and going back to reading my magazine.
Next, the reporter is interviewing the owner of the dog that got shot, and funniest thing happens: I recognize the voice that taught my Criminology class last semester that told us protitution was good for marriages (and she's a woman), drug laws are racist and that guns kill people.. but I digress. She was telling the reporter that the "man acted totally irrationally." I tried to tell my wife who that was but all I could do was laugh hysterically. I mean, this lady hated guns. In a discussion in class she told us that she doesn't have any guns in her house because they're not safe and she has two pitbulls that she trusts with her life.
