I hunted just fine untill I was convicted of 'Purgery' last year, when I reported an Alska State Trooper assaulting a child and the AST she was talking to stoppped it , restraind him and removed him from us, then they tamperd heavily with the AST's tape and used it as the only evidence against me, so I had it analized and presented the findings of its alteraion to the judge at sentanceing, and he was not too happy with them, and has allowed me to remain free untill retrial. I have now two with an upcomming third Audio Forensic Specialist anallisis done that show the same reults, and each is quite enough scientific proof of alteration , so the "re-Trial" will most likely be dropped case. I also have the testimony from my grand jury that shows quite plainly the the investigating ABI lied to have me indicted , and as a matter of publuic record in the trial, it was brought up on his examination of the "investigator', and cover the felonys of his fellow AST, I have a Pro bono Fed Defense lawyer thats got this straight and good. Ive made the FBI quite aware of whats going on and told them of my fears that the threats and actions allready made against us, as well that more could come when they want to cover this up more. same to my neighbor, and after 16 months hes out due to retrial.
Well, thats a rehash of my personal problems, but I can tell you that as long as you stick wit the truth, you will succeed.
Of course, when asked "Why dont you shoot a gun, Chip?" on camera, i said "'cause I was framed for a Felony, so since I cant touch a gun, my wife is a better shot than me right now" in all humore, but they edited to "She's a better shot than me" as Nat Geo has "The Alaska State Troopers" as a show to conflict with.
Its a matter of time, that all, and Ill be back there with my antiques
~~LOL!!~~
She dont run out of ammo, ~LOL!~ weve done this for 20+ years together and the wife has for a lifetime, and we wont let them add any "Drama" (what real Hunter go's with out ammo?) and they would be interfearing with our hunt if they tryed, and we would quit, as Hunting success is far more profitable to us than Compensation for a documentry (If we were acting, we'd make much more $$)
As to the .22's, the dry cold here isnt a problem, and we carry ammo in a bag in our pockets, so if it gets wet, were likely not busy with the guns...
Keeping ammo clean and dry is part of haveing it and we keep an eye on it.
The wife shot the 12 in the tube, one in the chamber and quit the Winchester, her sight was moveing around (folding down) , the front bead was a replacment and was huge, something our son had done to replace the ones he had broken whilst in action. The Marlin was the back up .22,( we always have a back up,) "A gun for every occassion" and when one runs dry, its easier to pick up another than fumble with small bullets while cold.
Also , my wife is missing the tip of her middle finger from a Beaver she shot as a kid, and when you see us so close to the muskrat, and its not diveing, its been hit. I, and most other just reach down and flip them head first against the side of the boat with a good bash, but the wife will keep shooting, and still, she s reluctant to grab them, so I made her a hook
Thst why you see me grabing them outta the water.
Yesterday we pulled out our Whitefish neet, its 20 above and the rivers frozen all the way across, so in 4 days I'll set Ice nets, while my wife , son and oldest daughter is in Kotzebue Hunting Seals and getting yearly check ups. This is the way we usually do things, in order of freezing and such, the river's always first. HOWEVER, the freeze up is about 3-1/2 weeks later than last year, definitly not good.
After 8 months of frozen weather, 30 to -60, 40 above feels pretty damn hot !!! We keep our house around 60, and at night Itll get warmer, as noone is opening doors to come and go.....
Glad ya like the show, and were makeing more.
