My next purchase is going to be a light for an AR I recently built. The idea is simple, lightweight, no frills compact package, and nothing crazy expensive. Going to go on a midlength Moe handguard. Don't care about strobes, programming, anything over say 200 or so lumens etc. I also only really care about momentary on for the switch but I will consider changing tail caps if needed.

Contenders:
1. Inforce WML
2. Surefire M300 (kind of expensive)
3. TLR-1
4. Surefire/Streamlight flashlight (most likely cheaper option depending on light I guess)

I like those IWC mounts but if I were getting the inforce or the M300 I might consider a magpul mount or something else.

What do you like?

I'm sort of leaning towards the inforce. It's pretty inexpensive and I like the button on it.

Thanks for the pic Monkeybear. Does the back of the light fit flush up against the handguard or does it leave a gap in-between?

There is a gap but its pretty easy to hold the rifle on target and push the button. For me at least.

I'm going to order the Inforce WML. I got a moe cantilever mount I'm going to try it with first and see how that goes. I'll get it from your site opticsplanet since you posted on this.

I put a streamlite with an offset mount on my forward rail. My left thumb easily touches the tailcap button. I love it. Plenty good for 100yd shots with the 6x scope.

For a rifle that might be used for 'things that go bump in the night'....it's a must-have.

PS
For a rifle that might be used for 'things that go "OINK" in the night' too!

All good choices. I have an X300 and a TLR1. The WML looks good as does a trusty old G2 LED (also have on an AR) or Streamlight Poly Tac LED in the mount of your choice.

atomd, we appreciate the order.

If you don't mind, please post pics and let us know how you like the WML, I've been eyeing one for myself for a while now. Employee discount is a dangerous thing.
