I just bought this shotgun and would like to put a light on it as it is primarily for home defense.

Surefire shows an integrated forend light, but I am new to all of this and do not know what replacing the forend might entail.

Isn't there a mount that would attach to the existing shotgun?

Thank you for any input.

They send ya the tool with the forend. It's very simple. I have the surefire and love it.

I use a Streamlight TLR-1 w/Laserlyte mount on my NEF Pardner Pump Protector (since moved to directly below the bbl since this pic was taken). Total cost was around $125 & the TLR-1's rocker switch is easily accessed w/the forefinger. Much cheaper than the Surefire forend & w/o that painful recoil impact to the offhand (been there, done that). Besides, I prefer the TLR-1's LED lamp that won't burn out or break from recoil/impact.

The light I have.

They are about $40-50 meant to mount on scopes, works perfect on the ends of magazine tubes, I have it on my 500.

So far it has survived 300 rounds, loctite the screws or else it will vibrate loose, mine did, has a cracked lens on the light, still works fine.

What I did since my tube is so short (sniff), is narrow the mount of the light/laser unit, so it bites halfway on the tube, and half way onto the end of the tube clamp. So far no issues.
