Has anyone come up with a light option for the Remington 870 besides the Surefire option that replaces the forend?

Pics, etc... would be very helpful

Thanks!

I use the Laserlyte 870 mount w/a Streamlight TLR-1. Ran me about $125 total and the rocker switch is easily accessed w/my forefinger.

I've moved the TLR-1 to directly under the bbl since this pic was taken:

Thanks Tomac...That is the type of set-up and price I am looking for... Will that mount work on a 20 guage 870?

Striker, I couldn't get the link to work to see what you were recommending.

Thanks for the help guys!

Sorry, mhouston5, I don't know if it will fit the mag tube of a 20ga but there's got to be a rail mount *somewhere* that will fit a 20, maybe Brownells?

They are about $40-50 meant to mount on scopes, works perfect on the ends of magazine tubes, I have it on my 500.

So far it has survived 300 rounds, loctite the screws or else it will vibrate loose, mine did, has a cracked lens on the light, still works fine.

What I did since my tube is so short (sniff), is narrow the mount of the light/laser unit, so it bites halfway on the tube, and half way onto the end of the tube clamp. So far no issues.

Our (Streamlight) mag tube rail will work on the barrel as well.

You could also buy any picatinny rail and mount it onto the forearm.
