Just wondering what you guys do with your tac-lights/lasers. I have a Streamlight TLR-2s that, if you're not familiar, is a rail mounted light, strobe, laser combo. However, I was wondering for any of you who have weapon lasers if you remove the safety sticker on them? The TLR-2s comes with a big ol yellow "careful or someone's going to lose an eye!" sticker on the bottom of the unit and it was the first thing that I removed. Is there any reason to keep these on? What do you do?

I have a Viridian C5L laser/light on my Stoeger Cougar 8045. It did not come with any kind of safety sticker attached to it.

Leave it on, that way you know which is the dangerous end! Never-mind the lead, watch out for the laser!!! :neener:

I toss them. At least they are stickers and not ground into the barrel like ruger's "IMPORTANT: READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL BLAH BLAH"

Crimson Trace Laser Grips come with warning stickers you can affix to your firearm I'm guessing it's done to relieve the company of any liability in case of eye damage. They can always use an affirmative defense of "your honor we put warning stickers in the box and the guy didn't use them" The sticker on my Insight M6X LED light/laser has a little warning sticker on the bottom. If they were an absolute necessity, wouldn't the manufacturer have put them on so they wouldn't be optional?

If you know lasers are dangerous, I'm guessing you won't look at it. If it's pointed at pond scum, he most likely has what's coming to him and a laser is the least of his worries. I pitched mine. IMO they're lame. If I don't put the sticker on, it is then my responsibility, not Crimson Trace or any manufacturer that makes it optional. removing a previously installed sticker just means it's all on you if a problem arises.
