Good morning,
I load light loads in .380, 9mm, .45ACP, .38 Special, .32 S&W Long, and when I can find one, .32ACP. I'm using Bullseye as it's good for light loads & I can use the same powder for all. My question is: when I run out of my Bullseye what should I use?

I use a lot of W231 for light loads in 9mm, .38 Special and .40 S&W. I also use a lot of Trail Boss for the .38 Special. I really like the W231, though, because I get great accuracy with light loads and standard loads.

I use mostly 3 powders for all my handgun loading and I would suggest using W231/HP-38 if you can't find Bullseye. Ramshot Zip is a good substitute too.

I use WST for my light loads. WST meters very well and burns clean even below min charges.

I have started working up BE loads for the 45acp with 185gr LSWC. I did some testing at 4.0 gr WST and had NO leading (150 rounds) or powder soot indicating low charges. Load books show 4.4gr as min for 185 and 200gr SWC. Research have brought me to find that most are using 4.1-4.3 gr for BE shooting 25 & 50 yrds. Even a few are as low as 3.8 gr.

I maybe one of the few fans of AA#2 & #5 for 9mm on here but they are not only easy shooting but economical as well especially #2 - I use #5 for .40S&W

AA#2, Red Dot, N310, WST, Competition, 700X, American Select, W231 or Zip, N320, probably a couple of others.

I can't add anything new. red dot aa#2/5 231 I've used them

I really really like trail boss for light 38 and 45 loads - I bet it would work great in the others too - save for 9mm. I don't know how it would work in 9mm it's such a fluffy powder. for 9 I use HS6.

For metering, and universal coverage I would say W231/HP-38 (same thing) will fill your needs quite well and you can load them light. However WW powders seem to be the hardest to find for me.

Maybe see what you can get your hands on first (that is if you need it soon)? Might help to kow.. :)
