Doorbell. Make sure it works. I always ring the doorbell before robbing you blind.

Outside I have auto lights that cover the doors. Inside its lights out. Lights out give me an advantage. I can navigate in the dark without running over things. Daughters and wife are instructed to hide and leave lights off. Bedrooms are upstairs. Those that break in can have what they want downstairs. Coming up the stairs is where the line is drawn. Cat will let me know whats not right in the house. Dogs may bark, but the cat is smarter and more aware.
