hi all my name is Tim i live in central new york state about an hour north of binghamton ny ,my interests are shooting ,hunting ,collecting old firearms and fishing ,mainly for more shells to shoot more ,am disabled retired from the logging industry, hurt at work in a saw mill 1990 guy dropped a lift of red pine cabin logs on ,crushing discs in my low back had 2 surgerys that ended in failed attempts to fuse the bone graft at L3-4 to S1 cant hardly sit down to my pc and been that way now for 15 years ,im just able to still hunt .mostly deer but with the last 2 winters being nasty there arnt many deer in the state land im surrounded by ,aproxemately 4500 acres and all i have to shoot is the occaisonal red forx or lots of coyotes and brush wolves ,they have become a real pain in the arse for the deer that were plentyfull here ,new york has opened my county to the use of any center fire rifle to harvest deer this year in hopes of allowing hunters to have a sporting chance of sucess i doubt many will be taken where i live but ill go as i have for the last 35 years some of the firearms i have are a model 99 savage ,a belgium browning a5 light twelve a .444 marlin several .22s and several blackpowder rifles ,i also own many 11 hand guns ,my favorite is my 7mm/08 contender with scope sure has taken lots of deer here in new york ,i am getting started in reloading of centre fire shells ,and shoot trap and skeet on occaision,i shoot bow some mostly at bow shoots ,to keep a good eye but as for hunting here it seems like a waste of time to me with no deer around ,thanks to the insurenance companys and reintro duction of the deers natural enemys like brush wolves coyotes and now we have mt lions roaming the state land some call them puma cats i believe ,i havent seen any my self but the fellow next door to me, has pictures of one in the road ,,less than a mile from my home ,hope to get to know some of the regulars here , as ill be back ,just remember /if your gonna carry it make sure its loaded heavy and shoots straighter than an arrow? tim582001
