My M70 in 375 H&H dont get as much use as i thought buying it. Nice rifle, love it.

The reason is however, a Sako 85.

The 9,3x62 does the same thing, well, i use that term loosely, as the 375 H&H with less recoil, thus being easier to shoot well.

As for the gun itself, its accurate, feeds and ejects like crazy. The trigger, second to none.

This is the gun i reach for going hunting and it wont leave anytime soon.
Funny thing is, i bought it as a backup gun for the M70.

Browning Hi-powers.
Love them, theyre beautiful.
They were my big thing after my 1911 kick, as they were the last John Browning design before he passed. Some can say its the modernized (1935) successsor to the 1911.....
I use 9mm for work and shoot a heck of a lot of it out of Glock 17s and my 19. Being shot so so much, the 9mm becomes more of a "work" round than a fun round. Hence, the hi powers sit in the safe.
When i go to shoot for "fun" rather than "work" i guess i gravitate to other calibers for that. 10mm, 357 mag, 44 mag, etc.
Dont get me wrong, i love the guns. But they just get shot the least of the whole handgun lineup. Im gonna make it a point to bag one on the next visit to the range.
Would i sell them, no darn way!

I bought a Beretta A390 Silver mallard 12ga 26" barrel off a buddy a long time ago as a "back up" shotgun. It took one hunt and that shotgun was the only one I used for ducks, geese, and pheasants for 8 years. Then I had shoulder surgery, and found a 20ga Beretta A390 silver mallard in 20 ga 26" barrel.....now the 20 ga is the only one that gets used for ducks, geese, and pheasants. So the "ol' silver mallard" covers most and least used!

Ar15s in general, I get why they're the most popular sporting rifles in america, but I've probably only put 1k rounds through mine in the 10 years I've owned it.

My contender. The frame and a barrel follow me to the range every single time. I love the flexibility of them.

BT99, my fourth, which I bought for my granddaughter to shoot in youth league which got coronacancelled. My 1975 870TB, which had just come back from Remington with a replacement receiver for the one that cracked at 250K rounds managed to throw the ejector spring at 1500 rounds. I pulled the 99 out and shot it from mid July on through the end of leagues. Average in two leagues went up and I finished second (first loser)in both leagues, but with a 95+% average in both. Haven't looked for a smooth to fix the TB yet.

Ugh. ejectors on an 870 are a major undertaking. At least you got a hekuva backup in that BT-99. Better pickup another one for the granddaughter. (Or you could get yourself another TB while that one is being fixed, nothing wrong with having another TB for a back up.........

I haven't been to the range since March, hoping I can hit paper the next time I go. The gun with the highest round counts in the safe are a 7 1/2 inch Redhawk .44, Randall 1911 and Ruger Standard 6". Still my favorites after decades. I have a Security Six that has been relatively unshot since the Redhawk purchase in the 80's. I think the older I get the more I like big holes because I can SEE them! o_O Next on my agenda is shooting trifocals.

Single shot break action 20ga. I bought it and have absolutely no use for it. Been trying to think of someone to give it to that would use/need it for hunting/defense. I gave it to my mom a while back but when my teenage brothers started showing signs of irresponsibility and recklessness, complete lack of respect for rules, etc... unfortunately for my mom, I took it back. If she was more "on the ball" I wouldnt have but some days she wouldnt know where her head was if it wasnt attached to her neck.

Non-military, I probably haven't shot 1,000 rounds in my entire life. lol.

My Sig MXC Virtus in .300BLK with suppressor gets a lot of work on varmints but if I didn't do that it wouldn't be shot either.

However, none of my guns would really be shot besides 2 shots a year for sight-in and hunting.

Unexpectedly used more: Henry AR-7.
I’ve possibly already fed more 22lr through this gun than all other 22’s combined in my life. I replaced the front sight with a thinner front sight which has proven to be magical. World of difference in my performance now!
The wife enjoys shooting it too. She shoots it very well. Can’t shoot much else well but that AR-7 she can spin the metal targets all day which is very enjoyable to watch.
I have warmed up very well to the way the receiver sits on the stock, to the side, and is so thick. I kinda prefer it now over conventional rifles.

Unexpectedly used less: Beretta 21A.
Figured this would go well with my 3032. Overall I think I like the 21a more over the 3032 but somehow the 21A is left at home.
