I guess I can be more clear. Do you wear your belt in your belt loops or just outside of the loops. Is it worth it to buy one of the $150 speed holsters? I was thinking of buying just a regular holster that way I could put it my regular belt if I decide to shoot production.
Personally, I've not found that I'm fast enough really gain anything from a race holster. I used a Comp-Tac belt holster when I shot limited, still use the same holster now that I shoot IDPA/Production.

Production has no belt restrictions. You can get a standard holster (in which case I'll highly recommend the Blade-tech DOH) and put it on a competition style belt if you want (which I recommend. inner-outer belt combos are not only more convenient, but they allow greater gear positioning flexibility).
I'm currently running a Double-Alpha belt in Production division. I had originally started with one of the cheap knock-off belts off ebay. Actually nothing wrong with those either (I still have mine) except that their available sizes are far more limited.
