I recently received my C&R FFL, and was trying to send it to as many good dealers as possible.

Here's the list I sent mine to. If anyone has any additional dealers, please feel free to add.

Brownells (significant dealer discount)
Midway USA (significant dealer discount)
Grafs (significant dealer discount)
AIM Surplus
Century Int'l
Empire Arms
InterOrdnance
J&G Sales
Military Gun Supply
Mitchell's Mausers
Samco Global
Southern Ohio Gun
Wideners

How long after you send out copies before you start getting catalogs? I sent mine to about 10 places 2 weeks ago along with a note to send me catalogs/emails & not a peep so far......

Some of the wholesalers only send out a catalog/flyer every few months. And it takes a little while to get in their 'system'. Once you order something from them you'll get all the catalogs your postman cares to deliver.

It has begun.....

Ok, just got a letter from Numrich Gun Parts today saying I'm in their system. Guess I just need to be more patient. Dang it, I suck at patience when it comes to buying firearms and firearm accessories....

Can you get discounts on non-C&R firearms, also? I guess I'm trying to figure out what a C&R is good for other than for buying 50+ year old guns. It's not a full FFL, so you can't have any modern gun shipped to your door. So what's the huge C&R attraction? I'm strongly considering getting one.

Also, is there any way to get a C&R application form on the internet? The only link I saw was at the ATF web site for them to mail you a paper copy.

No copy of the current application form is available online.

You can get the dealer discount for accesories from several places. Midway and Brownell's are the most popular/well known ones.

Just ordering 1 rifle saved me the $25 transfer fee the 01 FFL I use charges. Not to mention the gas money I saved not having to drive to pick it up. Hmm...yeah..I saved the $30 cost of the C&R on the first rifle. (I bought 6 C&R rifles last year)

No discount on modern guns. Not all of the C&R firearms are 50+ years old. Curios can be from any year, as long as it is on the ATF list.

I've saved more than the cost of the C&R on a set of night sights for my Glock, not to mention other parts and accessories I've ordered. Heck, I've even managed to order a K31 or two:D

As others have noted, you can get a discount on other firearms accessories. I saved a few dollars a couple of weeks ago with the dealer discount at MidwayUSA. It adds up, and is definitely worth it if you spend much money on firearms and accessories. I haven't bought any milsurps yet, but I plan to, so it will come in handy there, too.
