I'll follow-up asking that (since you haven't shot the rifle much) with the sierra, seated to 2.8(ish) what charge weights did you try? I suspect you haven't done a proper workup here.....And would you be willing to try a different powder if a quick loads user on here were to give you the data? (I won't hand out my own conclusions on powders in the right burn range but not tested by the powder manufacturer simply because they won't buy another barrel)H4350 (also a first time use)
Haven't chose other powders yet
If your not allowing the barrel to cool good between shots you will get scatter no matter what the load is. On pencil barrels They are normally good for 3 shots max before they starting shooting wildly. If the barrel is too hot to touch allow it too cool. The vertical shifts just tell me you have not found the node that your gun likes.

I'd rather put up a 10 shot sub moa group and adjust my scope than do what you are attempting...... Just a thoughtIf the 2 shots group, and group far away from where I wanted to be...I move on.
You do realize I'm trying to duplicate factory ammo point of impact????
Yes I realize...I'd rather put up a 10 shot sub moa group and adjust my scope than do what you are attempting...... Just a thought
Ps, easy to dope that handloaded prints 1.75 moa left and .5 moa high of factory x ammo...Yes I realize...
However, I've never been able to not find a sweet spot that out shot factory ammo for precision, and usually, even if my velocities were close, I have to adjust scope, difference between factory and handloaded? I can always get more handloaded..... You're not the first nor the last to attempt this, but I stand by my point, there is fallacy in trying to match poi of a potentially beautiful combination to a factory load that may be out of stock, discontinued, or limited run, especially for such a niche cartridge. If you want to duplicate it, wait for a limited run of 150 spitzers with the win stamp from Graf's (or similar) and grab some 760 and call it good enough......or you can load up the best ammo that will ever fit that rifle and chuckle as you tell your grandchildren about it on their early hunting years, good luck either way bro.

They like to hit bone from my experience, was the same with the 6mms to.
Was the Sierra pro hunter, but there getting pricy. My get them cheaper on sale, there a member here that lives by Sierra and can get seconds. Tho there's not much savings. What's your favorite all around deer bullet that's NOT premium priced
The flat base hot cor should help with your oal problem, fb tend to shoot better then a bt. Plus the fb hold up better the the bt.I'm shooting the 145 Speer BT also, my rifle does OK with what I've tested so far....and my wallet does good with them too!!!

Only past about 400 yards do the boattails out run the flat base, fb have a better bore seal and tend to shoot better. There's a reason that's all they use for bench rest that's no more the a few hundred yards.I always thought the boat tail was a superior design.....areodynamically, but I'm not convinced of that
I'd have to look, think I may only have 130fb and 145bt. I'll look.Troy you got a 160 hot cor flat base on hand you can measure with calipers?
