LMT MRP standard vs MRC CQB

I am not clear on the difference between these two. The catalog seems to indicate that the CQB model has less rail length, however that seems odd because the 16" model for both weighs exactly the same from the specs given. How could there be less rail (and therefore less metal) and have them weigh the same?

What is the real difference both in spec and in practicality? What is each suited for, aside from what I'm guessing: the CQB somehow is more suited for close quarters situations?

Thanks. I'm thinking I want to get one of these to add to my little collection of LMT rifles.
