I load .38/.357, 9mm, .45, .223, and 30.06 on an LNL AP with Hornady dies and powder measure.

I have ordered an rcb lockout die to add to the rotation, and as such would like to go to the powder through expander method for powder drop.

I'm confused as to what parts I need to order to add the expander operation to my existing system? Is this a whole new powder measure system or parts that I need to add to the existing system?

Does midway or somebody else sell what I need?

Any guidance here would be appreciated.

Thanks

It's the bottom "nozzle" that replaces the drop tube inside the powder measure. You have to have the right expander for the caliber you're loading -- I shoot .357, so that's the only one I have. I don't think rifle calibers are available.

Thank you. Is this the only part I need (per caliber)?

The add reads, "For use in conjunction with the Hornady Case Activated Powder Drop, the Quick Change Powder Die and Powder Through Expanders make reloading on your Lock-N-Load faster and easier."

I am away from home, and will not be able to set-up my LNL AP press for awhile yet. I know the case activated powder drop is included with the kit, but what about this "quick change powder die", is that in the kit as well?

Thanks

Wayne02, you will only need to purchase the expander, the quick change powder die is included. You may purchase extra QCPD's to make changing calibers easier, though I never felt the need.
Consider the pistol rotor and micrometer insert, it makes small powder drops easier to adjust. Call Hornady for this item, it is actually cheaper from them since they swap out the standard meter for the micrometer.
