I'm waiting for my LNL AP press to arrive and just wondering if the case activated lower assembly to mount the powder measure comes with the press or should I have ordered it separate, part no. 050074.
Thanks so much for info.:)

Kind of an off-chute of the OP, but will the powder thru die work with any press given the standard threads?

I ask because I have a Loadmaster on order, and have been reading that the LnL powder thru assembly is very consisten and reliable, while the Pro Powder Disk from Lee is good, but not what the LnL is.

Thanks.

In defense of the Lee Pro Disc, while somewhat flimsy compared to other manufacturer's equipment, it is VERY consistent in the loads it drops. I have 3 (one for each caliber) for my RCBS Pro 2000 press. I am VERY happy with the Lee.

Yes I believe it will, Im not positive but I would think so. A call to Hornady tech will answer that. They are real good ppl to talk with from Ballistics to reloading. Good chance youd talk to the very guy who designed it if you give them a call.
Even with standard meters my case activated thrower is REAL REAL consistent. I thought I might get the micro meters for handguns when I first got mine and so far at least with Bulleye and some ball powders for rifle I haven`t found a need to. If I set it to 5.2gr and check ever 5th or so that is exactly what I get.
BTW, I do HIGHLY suggest you get the Powder Cop die,its a safety thing that really in my mind is a must have. If your loading .45 ACP (or any straight walled case) Id suggest getting the Hornady taper crimp die and the powder through expander (PTX) This allows you to eliminate the case mouth expander die so you have a place for your Powder cop die and taper crimp die. It will make life much easier on you.
Hope this helps

+1 on the Powder Cop and think about getting the third party manufactured LNLPTX instead of Hornady's. I have tried both, and I sent the Hornady back and kept the LNLPTX.

Should work on a Load Master. I know a few people that installed it on classic turrets.

I got the LNLPTX and while I haven't tried Hornady's for comparison I can say that the LNLPTX is a good product and put my mind at ease by opening up a station in the press for the powder cop die. I'm new to reloading and the safety of the powder cop die was reassuring.

Having loaded many thousands of rounds on my Hornady LNL progressive, the LNLPTX is a fantastic improvement over the factory parts. While it took them a while to get it to me, it was money well spent. Not only is it cheaper than the Hornady expander, I only need the one LNLPTX rather than one for each caliber as with the factory expander.

LnLPTX

For those in this thread who've mentioned the LnLPTX, it is now called Powder Funnel. I still think of it as the LnLPTX but there was a conflict with Hornady on naming it.

And it is great. I'm glad I got it. It's better than the Hornady PTXs. And it costs less than 3 Hornady PTXs.

One of the nice features no one has mentioned is that it is always in the powder measure assembly. No changing PTX dies and rummaging around trying the find the appropriate die during caliber changes.

Easier to adjust, simpler, better, cheaper - what's not to like?

I had to decide between the powder cop and the RCBS lockout die. I concluded that if i had to look a the powder cop every time, it was little different than checking to see if there was powder in the case each time. In other words, it required extra action from me.

I ordered the RCBS lockout die instead, and the beauty of it is that it works without my monitoring it. I still look to see if there's powder in the case when I seat the bullet, but it's an extra measure of monitoring I really like.
