For quite a while now I have been loading 200gr 45acp SWC's. I was loading them with 3.8gr Bulls Eye. Can someone suggest a similar load using Bulls Eye with 230gr LRN 45acp

4.5 grains Bullseye under a 230 LRN will give you about 800 FPS and will function well in about any gun.

I have a Colt 1911 XSE Government model. I have a 12# recoil spring in it. A friend of mine let me shoot some of his loads that were 3.7 BE with 200gr SWC's so I liked it so I started using 3.8 gr BE

When you move up to the heavier bullet weight at more normal power, you should put a standard 16# spring back in it.

I don't want to move up to normal power. I was running light loads with the 200gr SWC's at 3.8 gr so I want a similarly light load using 230gr instead of 200gr but still using Bulls Eye

Bullsye cycled my M1911 with a 22 pound mainspring even with a low 3.5 grain load. The specifications for the original 1910 military load was a 230 FMJ at 800 fps, so that is my upper limit even with lead. I have chronographed factory faster than that, but I don't want the recoil.
