I have some IMR PB and Rainier 9mm 115gr plated HP bullets. As you probably know, Rainier states on their website that reloaders should use data for lead bullets. I have three manuals but none of them have a recipe for a lead HP.
The Hodgdon site has data for a lead RN.
Bullet Wt (Gr.) Mfg Powder Bullet Diam. C.O.L. Grs. Vel. (ft/s) Pressure Grs. Vel. (ft/s) Pressure
115 GR. LRN IMR PB .356" 1.100" 3.3 974 26,900 PSI 3.7 1061 32,500 PSI
Do you think it is safe to start loading the HP at 3.3gr and 1.100" COAL?
