I'm tired of keeping my load data in note books. Is there a program that I can down load that has the proper fields where I can just fill in the blanks?
Google for reloaders reference. I would like to rewrite this project with more modern methods but am lacking in time. It is a great project if your into geeky things.
Afy, the source is on sourceforge. The thing about it i dont understand is how it can be a free license based off of access. the thing im trying to do is create a vb.net interface with a mySQL back end. PM me if your interested in playing with this idea.
It is an open license because the database itself is my creation. I don't hand out the full version of MS Access as that would be a violation of license, but if you have the Developer's Extensions you can re-distribute the runtime.
I don't know about the MySQL backend...that would work for me, and probably you, but who else? How many people really want to install and troubleshoot (and maintain) a MySQL instance just for this?
Although, while thinking out this post, it may work to have a hosted service, where some of us go together and pay for the hosting. With a web front end, it eliminates the MySQL problems, but doesn't keep it free. I guess I will take a peek at the source and see how tough it would be to put a PHP front end on top of a MySQL backend; once I get all my servers move out here to OH, I will have an easier time of setting this up.
It was an Oracle Database to start with because I wrote it for my personal use. I still keep all the data in oracle here and just tie to it. Kinda tough to redistribute in that format though.
