Loads for different brands of Plated 9mm bullets?

Standard Berrys 124 Gr RN and X-treme 124 Gr RN? Use them interchangeable within reason. Just like using different 124 Gr jacketed RN lead core bullets interchangeably.

Are you at max? Is one going to be seated substantially deeper (More than .010)? Drop down and work up.

A plinker load at 85%, 90% of max? Use them interchangeably.

My 124 Gr plated plinker is running 1050ish from a 5" barrel. Hardly max. I wouldn't hesitate to load a few different brand plated with the same charge and test a few. That load also works with a 124 Gr plated RN. It uses a longer OAL for the RN, but the seating depth in the case is almost exactly the same. I have used this load with an X-Treme 124 Gr RN, an X-Treme 124 Gr HP, an RMR 124 Gr Hardcore HP, an RMR 124 Gr JHP, and maybe something else I don't remember.

going from Berry's 124 gr. plated round nose bullets to some Xtreme 124 gr. plated round nose bullets...

Will the same loads work, or do I need to work up a load again by switching bullets?
With .0005" difference in the diameter of bullets, I don't believe you need to adjust the powder charge unless you are barely cycling the slide, then you would need to increase the powder charge to compensate for smaller diameter of the bullet.

I am loading close to max for plated bullets, but don't have a chrony, so I am only guessing.

I am loading Titegroup at 4.1 gr. with COAL of 1.150. I can back down to 4.0 gr. without much (any?) difference in performance with the Berry's so I will probably start a few at 3.9 and a few at 4.0 and see what I get.

Same COAL?

I went up to 4.3 gr of Titegroup with Berry's 124 gr RN (solid base) sized .356" using 1.160" OAL and KKM barrel with .355"-.356" groove diameter - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...e-pistol-reloaders.746062/page-2#post-9382933

I think you should be fine at 3.9-4.0 gr using 1.150" OAL as Hodgdon lists 4.1 gr max charge at 1.150" using Berry's (BERB) 124 gr HBRN-TP bullet with longer base - http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/pistol

124 GR. BERB HBRN-TP Titegroup Dia. .356" COL 1.150" Start 3.6 gr (957 fps) 27,700 PSI - Max 4.1 gr (1,057 fps) 32,700 PSI

I have used the same powder loads for both Berry and Xtreme 124 RN on countless occasions....I measured the specs on both and the difference is very minimal. I really don't see a difference when shooting them either.
