I just loaned a Winchester Model 101 to my neighbors 12 year old son. It's Full over Mod. He's mature for his age and is a 20+ singles trap shooter. The gun fits him well except the length of pull is a little short. I'm willing to put an adjustable pad on it for him I've he will work at the sport.
I told him that he can be a competitive junior shooter if he works at it. He and his dad seemed to be excited by the act. I'm looking for reassurance that this was the right thing to do. Other than the fact that the gun kicks like a mule does anyone have any negative feedback?
He's been shooting an 11-87.
