Anyone loan out their guns?

I don't lend out my bride, my gun, my horse, my tools or my dog.
I especially don't loan guns to primates

Yes, years ago, my warehouse manager, a good solid person had her only handgun, a Davis 380, melt down when her car burned. Feeling generous, (I was single then), I lent her a Taurus 85CH. She left the company a while later and I actually, literally forgot to ask for it back. I wrote it off as a gift.
Now on the other hand, my brother borrowed my Smith Model 29 while I was overseas, and I never got it back. I found out he had sold it to an FFL. The dealer I spoke to turned white when he realized it was technically a stolen gun, but I told him no worries, not his fault and no report had been filed. He also told me that my beautiful revolver, with the pristine flawless deep blue mirror finish, always carried in a deep pile gun rug, looked like it had been dragged behind a pickup on a bad road in a box of rocks. Payback WAS a (censored), for him.
