i got rid of my plastic folder and went back to old school wood on my sksNot all "plastic stocks" are 'Bubba's"........The Chinese made and issued a "Plastic" stock, of a red hue in color and usually a noticable joining seem from end to end and slotted for a blade type bayonet. AKA "Jungle stock" in response to the wood of SKS's in Viet Nam rotting in jungle conditions.
Durable enough that my daughter has hauled hers all over the Arctic hunting and not a splinter, crack or chunk missing has happend so far.
yeah the receiver cover needs to be clamp down MORE to keep in stable bad designI bought two of them when they were $65 each. I tried for years to like them, and finally gave up. They weren't particularly accurate and the stock was much too short. No good way to mount a scope.
I traded my last one in on a 7.62x39 bolt action.
I seem to be the only one who doesnt like the sks.
So be it.
To answer the question....nah, I would pass.
well theres aways thisyeah the receiver cover needs to be clamp down MORE to keep in stable bad design
