Today the Accurate Shooter blog has a post about a new 1000 yard record for a grouping of about 3 inches.

A target is pictured. The group is not centered on the bullseye. Has the enthusiasm for "accurate rifles" progressed to the point where the size of the group is more important that hitting the target? That would seem to be missing the point (so to speak, ha, ha) to me.
Any insight?
