If you're any good at shooting, the 700P is more than accurate. It's not always about having the latest and greatest, most top of the line equipment. Our American forefathers beat the British Empire's brand new Brown Bess muskets with broken old hand-me-downs on more than one occasion. The 700P is a very intermediate system in my humble opinion. Shouldn't have too much trouble out to 500 yards. 500 yards is basic rifleman range in my opinion.
