Today went by my favorite Gunshop, not looking for anything special just can't drive past without stopping. They had a Heritage 22cal single action with both 22mag and reg 22 s/l/lr cylinders with it. While its not what you would call a work of art but over all it looks pretty fair. Just finished test firing it, used the 22's that have no powder only the primer and at a range of 12-15 ft it was holding a tight group. Tomorrow I plan on taking it back to my shooting range and giving it a real work out. For $200.00 I can't complain, heck I've wasted more money than that on slot machines.

a handgun makes a far more pleasing sound when used than a slot machine does too :)
(I would rather just drop coins into a small tin waste can than a slot any day, it sounds about the same, but when the can gets full, you can pick the coins back up and at least buy some ammo)
enjoy

I like mine. I use the .22mag for pest control for skunks that want to make their home on the property. I use the .22 cylinder with ..22 shorts for the possums that invade our mobile home ( 13 in the 15 years I have lived here) ah the fun of living in the country. Except when you open a kitchen drawer to get a spoon and stare at a baby opossum crapping in the drawer.

dscampbell, my wife is a die hard animal rights type person. Then she married me and I moved her to the deep woods in Ala. She was so concerned when field mice made a nest in one of the out building, NO leave them alone was her comment. A week later their extended family member had a nest in the house. This time was different, they had to go. Before we married she would not even allow a bb gun in her home, now she owns several guns of her own. The peace and quite in the wilderness far out weigh any issues with roaming critters. I was thinking back to around 1972-73 I bought a 22 just about the same as this one, best I remember it was around $49.00, I put right at $200 for this one and most of my auto's are minimum of $895 and up. But hey life is short and I am spending the kids inheritance now.

Update on the Heritage 22. I put the 22Mag cylinder in today and I am very pleased with it. Shooting at a range of about 25 ft, I was able to shoot a respectable group around 1in - 1 1/2 in. I feel in the hands of someone that don't shake so much it can be tightened up but as least the shots were on the target. In comparison of the 22LR and the 22Mag there is definite a difference in muzzle climb but nothing like shooting a 44mag. Again I am very pleased with this cheaper gun.
