this would roughly be the part of the topic where you tell the nay-sayers to go pound sand.;)

My only concern would be glare in bright sunlight. Though it's hard to tell how bad it would/wouldn't be with that finish...

It is still the Maserati of rifles, no matter what the color.
Although it looks like it needs to be 'unpimped', like in the funny VW commercials on Youtube ("Time to unpimp zee Auto!") it can still bite like a king cobra.

Saw three perfect M-1As at today's gun show and they are true babes.

Turned your Main Battle Rifle into a Main Pimp Rifle.

Good for keeping your working girls in check....................... at 600 yards. :p

I like it! If we all liked the same thing, we'd all be fighting over the same Woman, and driving black Fords!

Well you took some incoming but you survived.
It's interesting, not my choice but interesting.
I like the Duracoat Sunburst Yellow personally.

I am glad it was an old milsurp fiberglass stock.

Feets said:For the most part, I'm just kinda sick and twisted. Do you know anybody else that installed a 440, distributorless fuel injection, twin turbochargers, and monster sized Mercedes AMG brakes on a 65 Plymouth?

I'm just a little warped that way.

Actually, while I'm a little ambivalent about the rifle, I would love to hear more about this project! I'm a huge MOPAR fan, but I would have to paint my AR yellow to match my 68.

A friend of mine wears pink cowboy shirts. To each his own, personally I think it's great, well done. I hate your style love your individuality.

I like purple...it will blend right in at the rave...I think I will do that to my Galil!!!!!

Takes ALL sorts of people to make a world! See this every time I visit my Sister at the Gas/Store.

What someone does to HIS OWN WEAPON is fine. The rest of us need not love it....

It really looked nail polish pink after the 3rd coat. That's why I had to run three more over it to darken the purple.

Don't worry about my manhood. That's nice and secure.

This is it's ride to the range:

When you pull up to the range in something like that, nobody complains about the color of your rifle.

HMM not to bad, personally I wouldn't do it to my guns but im a big fan of "the gun that doesn't go with the flow."

Dang, ya nice car.
