I have been hankering for a new 22 rifle. Preferrably a bolt. Really liked the Ruger 77/22, but just too expensive. Found a CZ452 on GunBroker a while back. Good looking gun, less expensive, and have heard great things about CZ rifles. Anyone have any experience with their 22s.
Am looking at the CZ452 Varmint. Any info would be appreciated.

Superb rifles - all steel. The triggers can have a lot of creep, but this is easily fixed with a Brooks trigger kit for $16.

Here's my Varmint and 16 inch American

Can't go wrong with a CZ, especially for the money.
Mine's the silohuette model and it's death on squirrels.
Just be aware that the American and Varmint ( think) have a 3/8ths dovetail. The other models have an 11mm dovetail grove. Millett has the 1mm rings.

CZ is one of the rarities in today's gunworld, you will feel you got more than
you paid for, once you use them. I have 4 cz's now, and am about to get another in mach2. They are beautiful, well put together, and very accurate, even more so with the set trigger. I would choose one over a Ruger any day.
