I would have skipped RCBS and Hornady die sets and gone straight to Redding die sets

I would have bought:
1. bullets in lots of 5k-10k rather than playing with multiples of 1k
2. primers in orders of 10k instead of 1k
3. powder in multiples of 8lbs

#25- You mean you can't reload arrows?
Ive had them blow through targets and hit the wall and shatter, lost, just plain miss the target. strings and cables need replaced, fletches, sights, rests, releases, new bows. IMO archery is the worst when it comes to upgrading! Ive not let the bug get me because i think most of its overpriced fan boy crap and i can still shoot deer with my 2003 compound, beman arrows, truglo sight and whisker biscuit but if i was shooting 3d i would be way more in the hole than reloading.

I don't care for whiskers in my biscuit.

But you are right. I don't care what kind of hobby you choose, someone will always figure out new shiny gizmos to sell you that you never knew you needed. You can fish with a cane pole, or you can buy a $50k bass boat with more horsepower than the vehicle that tows it.

I agree about the primers and powder.
I have several different types of unopened 1 lb. powders because I found good loads with others. I would have about 9 4&8 lb. jugs instead of a bunch of 1 lbs. mixed in there.

Me too!! I enjoy it and figured i would shoot a lot more. When i started it was with a set of dies i purchased on clearance, barrowed Lee C press, cheap scale and dippers cause i wanted to see if i could make a more accurate woodchuck round and it exploded into a better press, scale, powder thrower, more calibers/dies, funnels, multiple powders, bullets, primers, tools. What was supposed to be $100 in the hole to find a more accurate bullet turned into a $800 mess. I don't enjoy it as much as i did when i first started but the little cost savings i get and the waaaay better accuracy is worth it.
Only $800. ?

I would have stocked up on components before the Clinton shortage like I did before the most current shortage. I must admit I was caught short back then but never again.

I was getting started right before “the big event”. I’ve been stocking up ever since, I have plenty to keep me busy for a few years now.
